Coupled with the benefits of breast feeding a baby, there is still a lot of benefits enjoyed by mothers who breast feed. Breast feeding after all is not only for the benefit of the baby but the mother as well. Today I am sharing with you the few benefits mothers enjoy from breast feeding.Is it worth learning?


Yes. When you feel like not breast feeding or you are indecisive on which method to use, I believe this article will motivate you.  Or are you convinced that mothers does not enjoy any benefits but rather lose nutrients?


Cancer risk reduction.


Breastfeeding a child can reduce a mother's risk of developing cancer down the road. Women who breast feed have a lower risk of developing uterine cancer, ovarian cancer and postmenopausal breast cancer.


Lower cost.


Breast milk is not bought in the market; it is free! Bottle feeding can be an expensive proposition. With breast feeding, there are no bottles or formula to buy; there are no half-emptied bottle or opened cans of formula to waste.


Bone building.


Women who breast feed have a lower risk of developing osteoporosis later in life than women who have never breastfed.


Breastfeeding builds a strong mother-baby relationship.


Most women who have breastfeed will always tell you that the breastfeeding benefit you are most likely to treasure is the nurtures between mother and child.



There is eye-to-eye contact, skin-to-skin and the opportunity to curdle your baby. Though you can also do this while bottle-feeding your child, it takes more of your conscious effort and you may be frequently be faced with the temptation of giving it to another person to feed the child when you are tired!
